Thank you to all the parents who attended the parents consultation events this half-term. Your attendance gives a very clear and positive message to the children that school is important and that we are all in this together! It gives the children an opportunity to share their work and for us to show how much we value their efforts. They have every right to be extremely proud of their effort and of the "beautiful work" they produce.

Thank yo also to those parents who had time to view the work in the hall and respond to the Curriculum focused questionnaire. We received 51 responses.

After collating the responses and discussing them with staff we will formulate actions to deal with the issues raised.

It seems the most popular subjects are Maths, English (specifically Writing) and Art. It is particularly pleasing to see writing as a popular area. This confirms our belief that the Power of Reading approach works as a great motivator and stimulus for writing tasks across the curriculum. The quality produced in all year groups is outstanding. Something which has been confirmed by visitors from schools across the Trust this year.

Comments made around school approach to Homework as always express oblique views. Some parents feel there is too much, some not enough. We always try to get the balance right for the pupils and as a result will review our homework policy before Easter.

Thank you very much for your comments.
