We had a super morning exploring the fire engine and listening to the interesting facts from the fire fighters. 

We all enjoyed making Easter nests today and I am sure the children will enjoy eating them at home. We hope you all have a lovely Easter break. 

Thank you to everyone who attended Stay and Play, it was lovely to see so many of you! 

This week in Maths we have enjoyed learning about weight and measure. We have been busy weighing and measure lots of different objects in the classroom and outside. 

To beginning our topic about transport and vehicles we had a policewoman visit school. We had the chance to look around her police van and she even let us hear the loud siren. It was great to get lots of information and answers to the questions we had. 

This week we have been learning about how other people celebrate different events in their communities. We focuses a lot on Chinese New Year and we enjoyed trying lots of different Chinese food. 

We went out on a winter walk and kept our eyes open for signs of winter. It was really cold so when we went back into school we had a hot chocolate to warm us up. What a treat!

Our home learning challenge this week is to take part in the big bird watch. To help us with this we have been busy making fat balls for the birds to eat. Please hang it in your garden and encourage your child to watch which birds come to visit. 

Thank you to everyone who attended Stay and Play today, it was great to see you all. The children really enjoyed sharing their favourite books and playing lots of phonics games together. We look forward to seeing you again in Febrauary!

To begin our new topic with a super start we became scientist for the morning. We were investigating freezing and melting. We then did our own experiment and made ice cream we all really enjoyed doing this, and enjoyed eating it even more!
