Today, the children helped raise money for Sports Relief by coming to school dressed as a sporting professional. We all got active and took part in some orienteering! 

This morning, we had the pleasure of making tasty pizzas for our lunch. We had help from Alex Cook who is the owner of The Mill and Il Mulino in Stokesley. We made pizzas as part of our maths topic which is fractions. We took part in a fractions pizza quiz to end our pizza making morning before…

Today, we went to play dodgeball at the Secondary School with other local primary schools in the area. We had so much fun playing and developing our dodgeball skills. 

To celebrate Pancake Day we had to use our knowledge of fractions to share different amounts of pancakes between different amounts of children.

This week in Science Week for Year 4 and 5. This afternoon we did some scientific play to help us explain how sounds are made and how we hear things. 

This week, we have been writing a picture poem about our journey to Antarctica in the role of one of Ernest Shakleton's crew. Today, we have started designing and creating an ice background for our poetry. We can't wait to show you the finished piece!
