The theme of this years World Book Day was 'Share a Story'.  We decided to get involved by finding out more about the author and illustrator Rob Biddulph (Official World Book Day Illustrator for 2019).  We read lots of his stories and discussed our favourites and the reasons why we liked them.  We watched a video of Rob explaining why he loves being an Author and illustrator and he challenged us to write a story using only pictures (Click here to watch).  We took up this challenge and then shared our story with our friends.  Later on we listened to Rob tell the start of one of his stories Blown Away.  We thought about the different ways that the book might end and we made kites to help the characters get back home.  To finish off the day we headed to the library to find the book so we could discover how it did end.  Lots of our parents and grandparents came with us and we shared lots of stories.  We had a really great day, a real celebration of stories.  An enormous thank you to everybody who was able to come with us to the library you made the visit a real success, Thanks you are all amazing.

All of us working hard on World Book Day ...
