During science week, we performed a simple scientific enquiry to investigate the affect of different liquids on eggshells.  We were very surprised by the results.  Apple cordial was the liquid which resulted in the most dramatic effect, making the hardboiled egg turn soft and crumbly.  Because eggshell and teeth are very similar, we came to the conclusion that brushing our teeth properly, especially after drinking sugary, acidic drinks, is vital!
