Fabulous Flowers
This week we have been looking at Van Gogh's famous painting of sunflowers. We have been experimenting with making our own colourful sunflower paintings and models. We have been thinking lots about colour and texture.
Very busy planting
Inspired by our trip to Strikes we have been planting our seeds. We have been learning about what will help the seeds to germinate. We set up some experiments with mustard seeds to investigate what a seed needs to germinate and grow well.
Being inspired by Strikes!
Today we had a fantastic time at Strikes Garden Centre. The outdoor Garden Centre Manager Paul was kind enough to show us around and share his in depth knowledge of plants. We learned lots about the different parts of a plant and why plants look and smell different from each other. A huge thank…
Learning about grouping and sharing in Maths
This week we have been getting busy learning all about making equal groups. We have been organising larger quantities into groups of 2's, 5's and 10's to help us count them more easily. Knowing how to make and count equal groups will help us begin to learn how to multiply and divide. Why not…
Fabulous Attendance
Today we said a big well done to our children with 100% attendance. A big well done to Sam, Reivenna, Ciara and Jessica as well as Emily, Katie, William and Millie. We also celebrated those children who had worked hard to improve their attendance.
We love the rain!
The mission is on to have our rain makers completed ready for our performance at Wednesday's open classroom (2:40pm). It has been amazing to see such superb teamwork from all the children. Making the cylinders and sealing the ends has been very tricky and an extra pair of hands has been very…

Wonderful Weather Vanes
We have been busy recording the weather each day as part of our Science work learning about weather and seasons. We decided to have a go at making a weather vane to help us know which direction the wind is coming from. It has been very tricky but there was lots of opportunity for fantastic…
Spring Blossom
Today we were looking closely at Spring blossom to create some art work to update our seasons wall. It was hard work blowing the paint to make our branches.
Marvellous Mud Huts
